You'd be mistaken if you thought this was a cast of someone's face. This was actually created in brass using the centuries-old "lost wax" technique. Craftsmen in Benin City, Nigeria, have been famous for making these statues for years, and they still practice their craft today. This head, inspired by the original Benin Bronzes, was made some time in the last 50 years. Come in and see them before they go on June 19th!
